A sari is a strip of unstitched cloth, ranging from four to nine meters in length, that is draped over the body in various styles. Depending on which region you are from, a sari can be draped and pleated slightly differently.

Sari’s are probably the most popular type of South Asian clothing and the most versatile because of how many different ways you can wear it. Brides who are having a traditional South Asian wedding typically wear saris for the wedding ceremony (and the colors range depending on the region in India their family is from.
